Product Description
2021 was an unheard of year for Silver Eagles, as the Pandemic limited the capacity of the West Point Mint branch. To help meet demand, the Philadelphia Mint ramped up production of Silver Eagles, which was practically unheard of! Typically millions upon millions are minted at the West Point Mint, so the 500,000 made at the Philadelphia Mint is a substantial decrease! Each coin is NGC certified as perfect grade MS70 and is marked as one of the few coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint by putting a (P) on the label. Since the coins have no mintmark, NGC can only give coins that come from certain, specially marked Monster Boxes from the Mint the implied (P).
With only 500,000 minted, this coin is one of the lowest mintage Silver Eagles ever produced! This is one of the few Philadelphia struck Silver Eagles. This piece also has a black core and an exclusive John Mercanti signed label, the designer of the Heraldic Eagle reverse! This is one of the LAST issues of with Mercanti's design, and these Emergency Issue pieces will likely never happen again! Take advantage of this truly unique Silver Eagle while you still can...
