1993-P American Silver Eagle Proof
Low-Mintage Key of the Decade: Just 405,913 proofs were struck in Philadelphia – the third-lowest regular-issue proof of the entire 1990-1999 run, and barely half the output of many later years. That kind of scarcity puts steady upward pressure on prices.
The 1993 Silver Eagle is a relatively rare coin minted in lower numbers than previous years, making it highly sought after by collectors. We are offering the rare opportunity for collectors to purchase a 1993 PCGS PR70 DCAM silver eagle.
The coin is individually holdered and will be safely delivered to your home. It makes a great addition to any collector’s portfolio. The coin has a diameter of 40.6mm and a thickness of 3.10mm. Proof versions of the coin are slightly thicker then circulated coins. Each coin has a reeded edge and weighs 31.1g.
American silver eagle coins history
In 1985 The Liberty Coin Act came to pass, which amended Federal laws and led to the creation of the American silver eagle coins. The obverse of the American Silver Eagle was designed in 1916 by Adolf Wiedman. It had previously been used on the Walking Liberty half dollar between 1916 and 1947. The design is stunning and is often considered Americas most beautiful coin design. It represents peace, freedom, independence, and shows Liberty purposefully walking towards the sunrise. She’s carrying an American flag and an olive branch.
The reverse design was created by the 12th chief engraver at the United States Mint, John Mercanti. It features an eagle with wings outstretched and a shield. It also includes a triangle made up of thirteen stars, which represent the founding state of America.

The 1993-P American Silver Eagle Proof carries the mintmark ‘P,’ which means that it was minted at the Philadelphia mint. The P is located on the reverse of the coin, underneath the eagles left talon. The Philadelphia mint struck 405,913 proof coins in 1993. These coins are valued at around $1200. American silver eagles are highly collectible, especially anniversary coins and coins that were minted in lower quantities. 1995-W proof coins can be worth as much as $20,000!
