Enhance your collection with a curated trio of Wheat Pennies, one of the most coveted and collected coins of all time! This collection features three Lincoln Wheat pennies, representing the three mints that produced them during the wheat back reverse design period (1909-1958). These coins, composed of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc, are from the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints. Mint marks, indicating the originating mint, are located below the coin's date: "S" for San Francisco, "D" for Denver, and no mint mark for Philadelphia.

The Lincoln Wheat penny was first issued in 1909 to celebrate the centennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth. It was also the first circulating U.S. coin to depict a portrait of a real person, rather than the allegorical figure of Liberty! The reverse design first featured two stalks of wheat and was later replaced by the Lincoln Memorial design in 1959. These original copper-based pennies contain copper that is now worth more than a penny! Each coin in this album is in collector's quality circulated condition, and will have randomly selected dates from before 1959. Collect this incredible album of beloved pennies today.

Highlights:

  • Mini coin album with certificate of authenticity
  • Random dates pre-1959
  • Coveted Wheat Penny design
