2011-S Burnished Silver Eagle NGC MS70 ER - The Only S Mint Burnished

This is one of the biggest sleepers in the entire Silver Eagle series!

This coin is the ONLY Burnished American Silver Eagle ever produced with an “S” mintmark. Instead of the usual West Point issue, it was struck at the San Francisco Mint in an ultra-low mintage of just 99,882 coins, the lowest mintage of any Burnished Silver Eagle, period. Most Burnished Silver Eagles were produced in quantities two to six times higher!

The 2011-S Burnished Silver Eagle was struck exclusively for the 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set, and it stands alone in modern U.S. coinage history.
