Collect the 2016 Burnished Silver Eagle. This special anniversary edition is the only year to feature the "30th Anniversary" edge inscription, in place of its usual reeded rim. Each coin is 1 troy oz 99.9% pure silver and weighs 31.0 grams, with a diameter of 40.6mm. This stunning coin has a perfect grade of MS70, meaning it has no imperfections, even at 5x magnification. The mintage is 216,501, making it a rare and collectible coin. The 2016 Burnished Silver Eagle bears the desirable "W" West Point mintmark.

This coin features patriotic design elements, including a depiction of Adolph A. Weisman's Walking Liberty, with Liberty walking towards the horizon, her right arm reaching. She wears the American flag draped around her shoulders. On the reverse, John Mercanti's depiction of the US heraldic eagle stands in front of a shield, grasping 13 arrows in its left talon. Alongside Liberty, the words "In God We Trust," while the reverse reads, "United States Of America 1 oz Fine Silver - One Dollar." Each Burnished Silver Eagle boasts a mirror-like background and crisp detailing.

These coins undergo a different coining process, which sets them apart from the Proof Silver Eagle collection. Each silver blank is buffed using a steel ball and hand placed in the coining press. Once struck, the coin gets removed by hand and instantly sealed, resulting in a satin-like finish and brilliance distinctive of other Proof coins. Burnished American Silver Eagle coins has a $1 US face value, backed by the US government. There were no Burnished Silver Eagles minted in 2009 or 2010, and with so few coined, it makes them a rare and affordable piece for collectors. Since 2006, the annual release continues its tradition of quality and patriotism; each one comes from the West Point Mint and bears the "W" mintmark.
