1945-S Mercury Dime
The 1945-S Mercury Dime had a total mintage of just under 42 million coins struck at the San Francisco Mint. This coin is possible to find in the highest Mint State grades and also in Full Band versions. The San Francisco Mint was known for using two different mint marks during the 1945 production of this coin. Some have a “regular” sized mint mark while others have a size so small that it’s called the micro-S variety. Both are relatively similar in how easy or difficult they are to find, with the micro-S being just slightly harder to find.
