History of the 1924-D Standing Liberty Quarter
The 1924-D Standing Liberty Quarter is a valuable coin that would make a more accessible coin for a collection compared to the pricing on some of the other Mint State coins in the series. The Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by Herman MacNeil. The obverse of the coin features Lady Liberty holding a shield in one hand and an olive branch in the other while wearing chain mail armor on her body. She stands in some form of gateway that features 13 stars and the words “In God We Trust” dividing the walls. The reverse of the coin features an American Bald Eagle in flight with 13 stars surrounding it.
