Product Description
The Morgan Silver Dollar series was nothing more than a design concept that George T. Morgan had until that mere design became reality and production for the series began in 1878. This would continue until 1904, the silver shortage had become so severe in the U.S. that the Morgan Silver Dollar production had come to an abrupt halt. Fortunately for the Pittman Act which was passed in 1918, we were able to produce more of the Morgan Silver Dollars in 1921, which would forever be known as the last year of issue for the series. 1921 was also a very special time because the Denver Mint had also struck Morgan Silver Dollars for the first and last time in the history of the series. Not only that but in 1921, the Peace Silver Dollar series had also begun minting at the same time as the Morgan Silver Dollar series which had come to an end. The 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar had a total quantity of 44,690,000 which is the largest amount ever for the Philadelphia minted coins in the series. For this reason, the coin is more easily attainable and Bullion Shark is able to offer this coin in brilliant uncirculated condition to clients for only $40.
