Introducing the 2012-P $1 Grover Cleveland 24th Position B (Regular Strike) Presidential Dollar – a tribute to the 24th President of the United States, expertly designed by Don Everhart. Minted at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin boasts a distinctive position B edge lettering, adding a unique touch to its design. DESIGNER: Don Everhart EDGE: Lettered DIAMETER: 26.50 millimeters WEIGHT: 8.10 grams MINTAGE: 10,680,000 MINT: Philadelphia METAL: 77% Copper, 12% Zinc, 1% other over a pure Copper core *Mixed positions. On Presidential Dollars, the edge lettering of the coins can either face up or down. Position A indicates the coins edge can be read correctly, only when the coins obverse is facing down or if the reverse side is facing up. Grover Cleveland holds the distinction of being the only President to appear in two different Presidential Dollar coins. Initially issued in 2012 to honor his 22nd Presidency term, the coin was reissued in 2014 to commemorate his second term as U.S. President. The 2014 Grover Cleveland Presidential Dollar design was officially issued on November 15, 2015. However, these coins did not enter circulation; instead, they were made available to the public directly from the U.S. Mint in various quantities.
