1932-S Washington Quarter
The 1932-S Washington Quarter is a highly sought after coin in the George Washington Quarter series. Alongside the 1932-D Washington Quarter, the 1932-S Silver Washington Quarter is elusive and rare, and one of only these two in the series that had below a million coins minted. This coin specifically has the lowest mintage in the entire series, but is a little less rare than the 1932-D Washington Quarter.
History of the 1932-S Washington Quarter
The 1932-S Washington Quarter is a key date in the series. The 1932-S Washington Quarter is a well-struck coin, but circulated “slider” coins can show some wear and rub on the high points of the coin. Cherrypicking is advised with these coins, as they can range from a more subdued luster to a nice luster. Many of these coins are toned, but many are also very attractive. It is possible to find true Mint State coins with the 1932-S Washington Quarter, and the nier the coin, the higher the price point.
1932-S Washington Quarter Value
The 1932-S Washington Quarter value can reach close to fifty thousand dollars for the highest Mint State coins available. Just like the 1932-D Washington Quarter, the 1932-S Washington Quarter is rare in Mint State, especially higher grades, but less so than the 1932-D. The 1932-S Washington Quarter is a beautiful specimen to add to any Washington Quarter series, and is one of the most highly sought after due to its rarity and low total mintage.
