The Peace Dollar was struck to replace the Morgan Silver Dollar as a symbol of peace after the end of World War I. It was struck from 1921-1928, and then from 1934-1935. The striking and iconic imagery Lady Liberty and an eagle of peace was designed by famous designer Anthony de Francisci. His designs won the U.S. Mint's contest to search for the best designs that were emblematic of peace for this new silver dollar. This 1927-D Peace Dollar was struck at the Denver Mint, and is a special key date in the series! Its low mintage of 1,268,900 coins was the lowest in the series for D mintmark Peace Dollars, and was the last one struck at the Denver mint until 1934. You will receive (1) 1927-D Peace Dollar in Very Fine-Extra Fine (VF-XF) condition. This is an incredible vintage rarity to add to your collection at this great price while we still have them!

Highlights:

  • 90% Silver
  • VF/XF condition
  • Lowest D mintage
