History of the 1918 Standing Liberty Quarter
The 1918 Standing Liberty Quarter is an attractive find, and it is possible to find the Full Head version of this coin. It is believed that about 40% of the Mint State coins have the full head strike, and it is worth the effort to find them. The obverse of the coin features Lady Liberty holding a shield in one hand and an olive branch in the other while wearing chain mail armor on her body. She stands in some form of gateway that features 13 stars and the words “In God We Trust” dividing the walls. The reverse of the coin features an American Bald Eagle in flight with 13 stars surrounding it.

The 1918 Standing Liberty Quarter value ranges from around nineteen thousand to upwards of fifty-eight thousand dollars for the highest grades of the coin available on the market today. Some of the highest Mint State coins have been found in this issue, but it’s possible to find them in circulated condition as well.
