The Barber Quarter, like the other variations of Barber coinage, were designed by Charles E. Barber. The Barber Quarter was minted from 1892-1916 and was then replaced by the Standing Liberty Quarter. Barber Quarters are extremely difficult to find in high grade as their low rims don't offer much protection for the details of the coin. Besides this, Barber Quarters are known to have very low mintage numbers, making them a fan favorite among collectors looking for hard-to-find pieces. However, this often means that Barber Quarters are not cheap. This last year of issue Barber Quarter is even more sought after than most as it marks a changing in times from the Barber coinage to the Standing Liberty design.
