The 1881 Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar has a mintage of only 296,000, which is far less than most of the other Morgan Silver Dollars that were struck at other mint locations. Carson City Mint is known to usually produce the lowest quantity of Morgan Silver Dollars annually, and for that reason, they are less common and thus more expensive. Some examples can range upwards of $100,000.
