The Franklin Half Dollar was minted from 1948-1963, replacing the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. While the public was not too keen on the stunning Walking Liberty design being replaced, it later became a favorite of collectors because of its 90% Silver content, low mintages, and the fact that it became the last circulating silver half dollar series ever!
The Franklin Half Dollar was designed by John R. Sinnock, who was the Chief Engraver at the Mint at the time. The coin's obverse features a bust of Benjamin Franklin, with the Liberty Bell on the reverse. The Franklin Half Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints. This trio of Franklin Half Dollars brings together one coin from each Mint that produced them during its run. The dates will be randomly selected, but you will receive (3) Franklin Half Dollars from each of the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints in collector's quality circulated condition (VG-VF condition). This Ultimate Franklin Half Dollar Collection lets you hold American numismatic history in the palm of your hands. Secure this unique set for your collection today!
