The Franklin Half Dollar was minted from 1948-1963, replacing the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. While the public was not too keen on the stunning Walking Liberty design being replaced, it later became a favorite of collectors because of its 90% Silver content, low mintages, and the fact that it became the last circulating silver half dollar series ever!

The Franklin Half Dollar was designed by John R. Sinnock, who was the Chief Engraver at the Mint at the time. The coin's obverse features a bust of Benjamin Franklin, with the Liberty Bell on the reverse. We have assembled this set of the first 5 issues of the Franklin Half Dollar struck at the Denver Mint! This includes Franklin Half Dollars from 1948-1952 with the "D" mintmark on the reverse, all in circulated condition. Add some affordable silver with a dash of numismatic history to your collection today!

Highlights:

  • 90% silver
  • "D" mintmarks
  • Circulated condition
