This limited-edition set pairs a 2026 1804 Draped Bust High Relief $1 Gold Coin with its Flowing Hair Liberty Silver Companion Medal. Both pieces have been certified by NGC in flawless SP70 condition and presented with the exclusive NGC Black Label. Only 10 sets are available in this special certified edition, offering collectors a genuinely exceptional opportunity.
Created in honor of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the Best of the Mint series reimagines five of the Nation’s most admired coins in 24-karat gold, accompanied by silver medals featuring complementary modern designs. The legendary 1804 Silver Dollar, often regarded as one of America’s most celebrated and elusive rarities, was selected alongside the 1916 Mercury Dime, 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, and 1907 Saint-Gaudens High Relief Double Eagle.
The gold coin’s obverse revives the iconic Draped Bust portrait of Liberty facing right, her flowing hair secured by a ribbon and framed by 13 stars. The inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “1804” appear alongside a distinctive Liberty Bell privy mark bearing the numeral “250,” created especially for the Nation’s semiquincentennial.
Its reverse displays a heraldic eagle with raised wings, a United States shield upon its breast, and a scroll inscribed “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” The eagle holds 13 arrows and an olive branch beneath an arc of clouds and 13 stars, surrounded by “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” In keeping with the historic original, the edge bears the raised inscription “HUNDRED CENTS ONE DOLLAR OR UNIT.”
The companion medal features a modern interpretation of Liberty with dramatically flowing hair on the obverse. Its reverse presents an eagle in flight above a cloud-formed map of the United States, illuminated by the rays of a rising sun—an elegant contemporary expression of freedom, unity, and the American spirit.
