An American bald eagle is depicted on the reverse of 2024 American Gold Eagle Coins. This new design comes from Jennie Norris and was brought to life in 2021. It depicts the head of an American bald eagle in left-profile relief with exceptional plumage. These 2024 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are in perfect condition. Coins with a Mint State 70 grade have full, original mint luster and come with no detracting flaws of any kind on the designs and fields.
American Gold Eagle Coins debuted in 1986. The series started with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz gold coins in the BU Gold Eagle and a 1 oz Proof Gold Eagle. In 1987 and 1988, fractional-ounce weights were introduced in the Proof Gold Eagle Series. In 2006, Burnished Gold Eagles debuted with all four weights. As of 2011, however, this series comes with only a 1 oz gold option.
