This 2011 Silver Eagles are more special than usual, as they have the Early Production pedigree from NGC! Only coins that arrive to NGC within 30 days of release can be awarded this pedigree. This 2011 Silver Eagles obviously did not arrive to NGC within 30 days of release, but years later. However, NGC has started to give this very prestigious pedigree to Silver Eagles from the 1980's and 1990's and 2000's if they meet a very strict set of standards. So, this Silver Eagle was from a sealed box that has its original straps from the U.S. Mint untouched.
Due to the strict standards to authenticate these Silver Eagles, very few can qualify for the Early Production pedigree, especially compared to the overall mintage from each year. Each coin has also been graded in near-perfect MS69 grade, and only 416 exist with just 31 graded finer!
