The Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birthday. It features a portrait of Washington on the obverse of the coin, and an American Bald Eagle with wings spread wide, clutching a bundle of arrows and hovering over an olive branch on the reverse.
