1941 Washington Quarter

The 1941 Washington Quarter had a massive amount of coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint. With over 79 million total mintage, the 1941 Washington Quarter had more than double the mintage of any other coin in the Washington Quarter series. This is a very common coin amongst the Washington Quarters and can be found in many grades and of a high quality. The silver Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan and was created to commemorate the 200th birthday anniversary of the United States first president, George Washington.

History of the 1941 Washington Quarter

The 1941 Washington Quarter is in abundance due to its massive mintage. When choosing a coin from this date, cherrypicking should be easy to do because of the plentiful amount of coins. It is also relatively common to find highly lustrous, attractive, and well-struck Gem condition coins for this date. The Washington Quarter features a portrait of George Washington on the obverse of the coin. The reverse features the American Bald Eagle with its wings spread, and it’s hovering over a bundle of arrows and olive branches.
