Product Description

The 1935 Buffalo Nickel is sought after by collectors for a wide variety of reasons. The first reason is the fact that less were minted than in 1936 and 1937. It is also worth noting that the 1935 Buffalo Nickel is known for having a sharper strike than most other years. The Buffalo Nickel was minted from 1913-1938 at the Philadelphia, San Francisco and Denver Mints. This coin in particular has a mintage of 58,264,000. Although this coin has one of the higher mintages out of most coins in the series, it is not the highest mintage in the coin's series.

The Buffalo Nickel is one of the most collected coins of all time. It is best know for its iconic design, created by James Earl Fraser. The obverse of the coin features a Native American, while the reverse depicts the esteemed Buffalo. Buffalo Nickels often exhibit wear and hardly legible dates due to their raised features. This particular coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, but the Denver and San Francisco Mints also struck coins in 1935.

Each coin will be in circulated condition (VG-XF) and will ship in a protective coin flip. With over 60 varieties in the series, a coin collector can spend years putting together a complete collection. Check out our vast inventory of Buffalo Nickels here.
