The 1899-S Morgan Silver Dollar was struck at the San Francisco Mint. The 1899-S Morgan Dollar is scarce in worn grades, and plentiful in MInt State. Many of these uncirculated coins were released during the 1940s up until the 1950s. When the major release happened from the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. and the Philadelphia Mint vault, there weren’t many of these left in hoards.

The coins were usually stored at the San Francisco Mint, but they didn’t suffer from many bagmarks. These are brilliant pieces to add to any Morgan Dollar series collection.
