The Peace Dollar was struck to replace the Morgan Silver Dollar as a symbol of peace after the end of World War I. It was struck from 1921-1928, and then from 1934-1935. The striking and iconic imagery Lady Liberty and an eagle of peace was designed by famous designer Anthony de Francisci. The U.S. Mint ran a contest to search for the best designs for the new silver dollar that symbolize peace, with de Francisci's designs ultimately winning.
We have assembled an incredible trio of Peace Dollars that are perfect for any coin collection.
