The reverse of the coin features a fully grown bison standing on a mound. It is a modification to the beloved designs of the Type 1 Indian Head Nickel and the design had stayed consistent from the release of the series all the way up to this point. Although the Proof 70 American Gold Buffalo is more difficult to find than some of the others, it’s still relatively easy to obtain for a small premium.
