2007 $50 American Gold Buffalo Coin
The 2007 1 oz Gold Buffalo coin had a total mintage of just over 136,000 coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Compared to the typical mintage of U.S. coins at the Philadelphia Mint in other series, this is a tiny mintage. This mintage was also smaller than the previous year, possibly due to the popularity of a first year issue of the Gold Buffalo series. With these bullion uncirculated coins, they were only sold to Mint Authorized purchasers who then sold them to the public.
