1976 Bicentennial Silver Proof Set PCGS PR69 DCAM - Rare Coin Set

In 1973, the Treasury put forth a contest to find a design for the Bicentennial Quarter, Half Dollar and Dollar. $5,000 was awarded to each winner, as well as the honor of having their designs struck onto coins that would be circulated in 1976. Collect the 1976 Bicentennial Silver Proof Set graded PR69 DCAM by PCGS today!

This incredible set contains the 1976 Silver Proof versions of the Washington Quarter, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Eisenhower Dollar, which were struck with 40% silver. These proof finish issues are hundreds of times rarer than the regular business strike versions that were put into circulation. To add even more to these bicentennial coins' rarity, these designs were minted only for the year of release! So, not only does the obverse bear the special 1776-1976 date, but a unique patriotic reverse design as well on the Quarter and Half Dollars.

The Quarter bears a Patriot drummer as well as a sacred fire surrounded by the stars of the 13 colonies, and the Half Dollar depicts Independence Hall and says "200 YEARS OF FREEDOM". The Eisenhower Dollar has its usual Liberty Bell and Moon reverse design, but bears the bicentennial date on the obverse. Additionally, each one of these coins has been certified in near perfect PR69 DCAM grade by PCGS. At just one grade higher, the price and rarity skyrockets! This 1976 Bicentennial Silver Proof set is the best and affordable way to celebrate America's history with some unique coinage.
