History of the 1952-D Franklin Half Dollar
The 1952-D Franklin Half Dollar design was created by John R. Sinnock who was inspired by the sketches of John Frederick Lewis. On the obverse of the coin, you will find the profile of Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin. On the reverse of the coin, there is a large depiction of the Liberty Bell with a crack in it, as well as a smaller image of the American Bald Eagle, as was required by law that the Franklin Half Dollars had an eagle visible on them.
