History of the 1943-S Mercury Dime
When seeking out your ideal 1943-S Mercury Dime, it’s best to look for a coin that has a sharp strike, nice luster, and great overall eye appeal. These coins can be found at lower prices in circulated and lower Mint State grades. The Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar were both designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman. The reverse of the coin features a fasces and an olive branch, while the obverse depicts a younger version of Lady Liberty wearing her “liberty of thought” winged cap.
1943-S Mercury Dime Value
The 1943-S Mercury Dime value ranges from around $1,000 to $10,000 for the highest Mint State grades of the coin. While this is still a small premium, it’s relatively affordable at these high grades compared to some of the other coins in the series of comparable grades, adding value to this coin.
