It has been over 90 years since the 1934-P Peace Dollar was produced with a mintage of 954,057. The series has a lot of incredible history, as it was created by an Italian immigrant by the name of Anthony D. Francisci to win the Fine Arts competition in the U.S. and this very design would also be chosen to be the Peace Dollar, which our government sought to produce as a small reminder and reward for our victory in World War 1. Every Peace Dollar that is in existence has a composition of 90% silver and 10% copper, with each containing .7734 ounces of silver in it. An absolutely beautiful coin, the obverse has lady liberty wearing a crown with rays beaming from it, and the reverse has a strong American eagle on it. The 1934-P Peace Dollar was produced in low relief, as were all the coins in the series, excluding the 1921 first year of issues, because the coins would not properly stack at banks.
