History of the 1926 Mercury Dime
The 1926 Mercury Dime is a beautiful coin that is worth the effort to find. It would make an affordable addition to a collection for the novice and experienced collectors alike without sacrificing on the quality. The Mercury Dime was designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman, who also happened to design the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This coin features a fasces on the reverse that is wrapped in an olive branch with an ax behind it. The obverse of the coin features a younger Lady Liberty wearing a winged cap. As was common with uncirculated, regular strike coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin does not have a mint mark.
