1907-D Barber Dime

1907-D Barber Dime

The 1907-D Barber Dime had a total mintage of just over 4 million coins struck at the Denver Mint. This coin features the ‘D’ mint mark found on the bottom of the reverse of the coin. In the highest grades, the 1907-D Barber Dime is one of the scarcest out of the coins issued in this year. In mid-range and lower range grades, this coin is relatively easy to find in Mint State, especially compared to the 1907-O Barber Dime.

History of the 1907-D Barber Dime

The 1907-D Barber Dime has a lower mintage than many in the series, but isn’t the scarcest out of the series. It’s possible to find this coin in uncirculated and many Mint State uncirculated examples. Charles Barber also designed the Barber Quarter and the Barber Half Dollar. The design on this coin features a right facing profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse wearing an olive branch crown with a ribbon, and a headband with “LIBERTY” inscribed on it. The reverse of the coin features a wreath of corn, oak and maple leaves, and wheat, and frames the word One Dime.

1907-D Barber Dime Value

The 1907-D Barber Dime value reaches upwards of $24,000 for some of the highest grades available on the market. While this coin commands a premium at the highest grades, it’s much more affordable in lower Mint State grades. The 1907-D Barber Dime is a valuable coin that would make an excellent addition to any Barber Dime series collection.
