The 1887-O Morgan Silver Dollar was minted at the New Orleans Mint with a total of 11,550,000 created. The 1887-O Morgan Silver Dollar seems to be a plentiful coin in Mint State, possibly due to the releases of mint-sealed bags during prime years where the vaults were cleared out in 1938, 1953, 1957, and also in 1962 when hoards of New Orleans silver dollars were emptied out of a sealed Philadelphia Mint vault.

Some of these show double stars and partial double dates punched, but these are rare.
