In the 1960s, large quantities of the 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar appeared in the form of full bags of $1000 face value coins. During the 1970s and into the early 1980s, these were distributed to collectors and investors as individual coins by the General Services Administration. These coins are very common now and can be found in most grades. They typically have a deep, frosty luster with a strong strike.
