In 2020, the U.S. Mint released a unique Silver Eagle for the first and only time! 2020 was the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II, and to commemorate a special proof Silver Eagle was struck with a privy mark on the obverse. Silver Eagles had never been struck with a privy mark before, and the mark is in the shape of the Rainbow Pool with “V75” inscribed within. Only 75,000 of these special coins were minted, making this an extra special rarity. That is less than 1/10th of modern proof Silver Eagle mintages!
