The 1957 Washington Quarter had a total mintage of over 46 million from the Philadelphia Mint. This coin is relatively common and easy to find in uncirculated Mint State, although the highest grades are somewhat scarce to find. The Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan to celebrate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s day of birth. The obverse features Washington’s profile. The reverse showcases the American Bald Eagle with its wings spread wide, a bundle of arrows in its talons, floating over an olive branch.
