Step back in time and own a piece of American frontier history with the 1935/34 Boone Commemorative Half Dollar. This unique silver coin, struck to honor the 200th anniversary of the legendary frontiersman Daniel Boone's birth, features an intriguing "overdate" where the "1934" date was added to the reverse of coins initially dated "1935."

Designed by Augustus Lukeman, the obverse of this 90% silver half dollar presents an idealized portrait of Daniel Boone, as no actual records of his likeness exist. The reverse depicts a powerful scene with Boone and an American Indian chief, set against the backdrop of a blockhouse and a rising sun, symbolizing the pioneering spirit and the complexities of westward expansion.

While authorized in 1934, the mintage of Boone Half Dollars continued through 1938, creating various issues. The 1935/34 variety is particularly notable due to the added "1934" on the reverse, a result of legislation passed later in 1935 to maintain the bicentennial theme. This particular issue, especially those from the Denver and San Francisco mints, had a comparatively lower mintage, making them sought-after by collectors.

This coin had an incredibly tiny mintage of just 10,008 coins. This 1935/34 50c Daniel Boone Bicentennial Commemorative PCGS MS 67+ is Blast White with ORIGINAL MINT LUSTER.  It is simply amazing and as close to flawless as they come.
