History of the 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter
The 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter is one of the more affordable coins in the series compared to some of the others when it comes to Mint State examples. Although many of the Mint State coins still cost a few thousand dollars. The Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by Herman MacNeil. The obverse of the coin features Lady Liberty holding a shield in one hand and an olive branch in the other while wearing chain mail armor on her body. She stands in some form of gateway that features 13 stars and the words “In God We Trust” dividing the walls. The reverse of the coin features an American Bald Eagle in flight with 13 stars surrounding it.
