1921 is the ONLY time a High Relief Peace Dollar was minted as a standard issue. A High Relief is when the details of the coin are raised above the rim of the coin. After banks had trouble stacking these coins on top of each other, the United States Mint was forced to change over to a "standard relief" as seen on all other Peace Dollars. This coin also has one of the lowest mintages out of any Peace Dollar in the entire series! This Peace Dollar is a must have for any serious coin collector!
