1900 Barber Dime
The 1900 Barber Dime had a total mintage of 17.6 million coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint. With a higher mintage, this coin is relatively common and easy to find in most circulated and low to mid-range uncirculated grades. As the Mint State grade of this coin increases beyond MS64, it becomes much more difficult to find. In grades MS67 and beyond, it becomes extremely rare.
History of the 1900 Barber Dime
The 1900 Barber Dime is a beautiful coin that is worth searching carefully for to find an example that is well-struck with nice detailing. The higher grades of this coin are known to feature colorful toning and excellent eye appeal. The Barber Dime is part of the Barber coinage era. Charles Barber also designed the Barber Quarter and the Barber Half Dollar. The design on this coin features a right facing profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse wearing an olive branch crown with a ribbon, and a headband with “LIBERTY” inscribed on it. The reverse of the coin features a wreath of corn, oak and maple leaves, and wheat, and frames the word One Dime.

The 1900 Barber Dime value reaches upwards of just below $9,000 for some of the highest grades available on the market. Considering this coin is extremely rare in the highest Mint State grades, this is an accessible and affordable coin for serious collectors.
