In there year 614, King Khosrau II of Persia conquered Jerusalem for his Zoroastrian Empire. The Byzantine Empire shortly reclaimed the territory and recovered the lost remains of the "True Cross," which is believe to be the cross of Jesus Christ. King Khosrau was known as the last great Sassian King. Legend has it, that he wore a crown so heavy with gold and jewels that he could not hold up his own head. This coin features a depiction of him wearing this very crown. Each silver drachm has been certified by NGC and comes along with a story card telling the story behind this amazing piece of history!
