Product Description
The West Point Mint has been behind on production due to the Pandemic. In the meanwhile, the San Francisco Mint stepped up to the plate to continue the production of Silver Eagles. We are hearing that a measly 1,000,000 coins will be struck at the San Francisco Mint during this time, which is much less than the tens of millions minted each year at West Point. NGC has certified each of these coins in perfect grade MS70 Early Releases and has designated them to be one of the 1,000,000 coins struck at the San Francisco Mint by putting a (S) on the label. The coin bears no mintmark, so only sealed boxes of Silver Eagles with special serial numbers assigned by the San Francisco Mint will ever bear the (S) designation. Own a piece of history today that will never be forgotten! 1,000,000 makes this coin one of the lowest mintage Bullion Strike Silver Eagles. Many will compare it to the 2015 (P) Silver Eagle which today is worth thousands of dollars in MS70! This is sure to be a limited population coin. Keep in mind this will be one of the last Silver Eagles minted with the original, "Type 1" design!!
