Each year, collectors wait with baited breath for the Silver Eagle release from the West Point Mint. However, the capacity at the West Point mint was decimated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the Philadelphia Mint took over. This is an unusual task for the Philadelphia mint, the few coins minted at Philadelphia make this 2021 coin even more unique! Each coin is certified by PCGS as near perfect MS69 with a First Strike distinction. Each is marked with a (P) on the label and a green banner to show it was struck in Philadelphia. There is no mintmark on these 2021 Emergency Releases, so only coins from unique Monster Boxes from the Philadelphia Mint have the (P) on the label.
This release is one of the very last "Heraldic Eagle" Silver Eagles! Additionally, with half a million minted, this coin is one of the lowest mintage Silver Eagles ever. The special Struck at Philadelphia label really commemorates this historic circumstance, and makes these coins a hot collector item. Add these to your collection ASAP!
