Due to the Pandemic limiting production capacity, the West Point Mint could not keep up with demand. To meet demand, the Philadelphia Mint stepped up to the plate to continue the production of Silver Eagles. The 500,000 mintage that these coins have is significantly less than the tens of millions minted each year at West Point! Each coin is NGC certified as perfect grade MS70 and have been designated as one of the few coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint by putting a (P) on the exclusive Magnum Opus label. The coin has no P mintmark, so NGC will only certify coins from sealed Monster Boxes with certain serial numbers with the implied (P).
Grab this glorious piece of history today! With just 500,000 minted, this coin has one of the lowest mintage for Silver Eagles ever! Some have compared it to the 2015 (P) Silver Eagle which is worth thousands of dollars in MS70 condition today! With the Emergency Issue, T1, First Day of Production, MS70 AND Magnum Opus designations, it can't get any better than this 2021 Silver Eagle. The Silver Eagle is changing this year, so this original coin design will be considered the last of the Type 1 Silver Eagles!
