They did it again! The U.S. Mint found a stash of 7,843 unreleased Silver Eagles in the depths of the vault! A collection of coins minted in 2018 were found this year and now have 2021 on the label. The United States Mint typically melts down or "de-trashes" Silver Eagles that are left over and reissues the silver in other coins. Rather than sending the discovery to be destroyed, the Mint Director decided to auction the finds off to select dealers which then sent them to be graded.
NGC certified these pieces with the exclusive "West Point Hoard Pedigree" and put the discovery date (2021) on the label along with the original minting date of 2018. Only 100 have been holdered with the prestigious Magnum Opus label! The Magnum Opus label designates this coin to be a "masterpiece" and is especially collectible! These Silver Eagles are beyond unique, so don't miss the chance to brag about having these in your stack!
