The San Francisco and Philadelphia Mints only typically mint Proof Silver Eagles. These Silver Eagles actually do not have mintmarks, as they were secret issues! They were all assumed to be normal West Point issues, but thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, a few years later it was revealed that a small number of 2017 Silver Eagles were minted in Philadelphia and San Francisco too. Only 2,962 sets can ever be assembled, in patriotic red, white, and blue core holders in perfect NGC MS70. Each label in this set has also been hand-signed by John Mercanti, the designer of the iconic Heraldic Eagle reverse! The Philadelphia issue is the rarest out of the three...so you're getting an incredible deal with this designer-signed set!
