The demand for the 2016 Proof Silver Eagles from the 2020 West Point Mint Hoard is outstanding! Long story short, the U.S. Mint discovered a Hoard of 2016 Proof Silver Eagles deep within their vaults in 2020. Usually the U.S. Mint melts down any left over coins in a process known as "de-trashing", rather than distribute them to the public. But, for the FIRST TIME EVER in the history of the Mint, the findings were auctioned off to a select few dealers!
PCGS has issued labels to distinguish these coins that say "West Point Mint Private Auction" and the 2020 date in parentheses to separate when they were minted from when they were discovered. To make these coins even more amazing than they already are, each label has also been hand-signed by Thomas Cleveland, Master Designer. We were lucky enough to secure a very small quantity of these in a stunning PR70 condition from PCGS. Only a couple hundred exist with this label and stunning contrast cameo. You won't find a better deal on these coins, so add them to your collection STAT!
