In 2001 the U.S. Mint released a SILVER Buffalo! This was happened for only one year of issue. They released it to gauge the interest for the launch of the Gold Buffalo which ended up releasing in 2006 with huge demand! Only 272,869 2001 Silver Buffalos were minted and only 2,487 have been given a perfect PF70 grade by NGC. Even so, we only received 34 in this perfect grade out of the HUNDREDS we send to NGC to grade! So from this low low mintage, a perfect specimen is even more rare!
This is one of the rarest silver coins ever released from the U.S. Mint, especially since it was only minted for one year! This is a must-have especially for fans of the Gold Buffalo coins. We only have a handful so grab one before they're gone again!
Highlights:
- LOW mintage
- One year only!
- Low population in NGC PF70
