Product Description
These 2000-P $1 Sacagawea PCGS SP67 Goodacre Presentation, Thomas D. Rogers signed coins are unlike anything you've seen before! In the year 2000, Glenna Goodacre won the design contest for the obverse of the Sacagawea coin, and TD Rogers designed the reverse. The U.S. Mint then paid $5,000 to Glenna Goodacre in the form of 5,000 Sacagawea Dollars for creating the winning design on the obverse of the Sacagawea Dollars.
In 2005, it was discovered that Glenna Goodacre's coins were struck on exclusively prepared planchets and dies! This resulted in a unique batch of coins with a burnished satin like finish, with a far higher quality strike than those used for circulation. These uniquely stunning coins have an SP67 grade from PCGS, as well as their Goodacre Presentation origin indicated on the label! To top it all off, the label has been signed by the reverse designer of the coin, TD Rogers. This piece is a unique rarity that will be an excellent highlight to your collection!
