Product Description
The Lincoln Cent was designed by Victor D. Brenner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. The designer's initials (VDB) appear on the reverse of a limited quantity of 1909 pieces, the first year of issue. The initials would not be restored to the design until 1918, on the obverse side of Lincoln's shoulder. The Lincoln Cent was the first cent to feature the motto IN GOD WE TRUST.
This design is one of the most recognizable in U.S. coinage. The reverse would change again in 1959 to the Lincoln Memorial reverse designed by Frank Gasparro. The date in particular was selected to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. There are only 704 of these 1965 coins in stunning MS66 RD! It's ridiculous how cheap these are as it costs almost $30 just to get the coin graded, so you simply can not go wrong at this price! These coins have been graded MS66 by NGC, with the RD (red) color distinction. Adding these to your collection today will be one of the best buys you make in 2021!
  • Graded MS66 RD by NGC
  • Only 704 exist!
  • An absolute steal of a price!
